Hi friend! Today I am sharing apps and websites that have helped me be more environmentally conscious. I hope they can help you too!

Many times when we are introduced to climate change it can feel overwhelming. Many do not know where to start to make individual changes. I know I’ve found it difficult to determine what brands are actually environmentally conscious. In my research to find tools that could help the ones I’m sharing today have been the most helpful to me! We have apps that help us with our health on eating and exercise. Those keep us motivated and help us to grow. Likewise, that’s what these apps are helping us in our choices in regards to the environment.
The first app I want to share is called Earth Hero. This app helps you calculate and track your carbon footprint. It asks you a couple of questions that you answer, it then compares your personal carbon footprint to the average person in the country that you live in as well the global average. What I also love about this app is that it has actions that you can take to lower your carbon emissions and against climate change. You can also challenge yourself to set a lower emission target goal. It helps you manage individuals to change one step at a time.
It is no denying fast fashion can be very harmful to the environment but it can feel overwhelming trying to find good clothing brands. Well not anymore! The app called Good On You helps you see various clothing brands and it rates them on how environmentally friendly they are. It rates on how they treat people (like child labor), planet (carbon emissions), and animals (cruelty-free). The brands are rate great, good, it’s a start, not good enough, and we avoid. This is a great way to support good brands.
This website allows you to answer questions that then determine your global ecological footprint. This helps determine how much of resources you are using. This takes into account your diet, transportation, energy, and other aspects. It also gives information on your and the global overshoot day. This is when an individual and the world population how used all the resources the earth can provide in a year. The true reality of this is that we are depleting our earth of its resources. What I also enjoy about this is that it also shares actions that can be taken.
This is a great website that teaches you how to have conversations with others about climate change. First, you take this quiz that helps you learn where you are on opening talking to others about it, kind of like a personality quiz. I like taking quizzes so this was fun for me! Once you do that it has various issues that you could talk about and solutions that you could share as well! I love this because it helps each of us feel more confident talking to them about climate issues.
With more knowledge and better resources and tools, we can all begin to tackle climate change. These changes can be small or large but taking action is the main key here. When we all take action there is a cumulative change that occurs. I hope you found this blog helpful! If you did please consider sharing with a friend! And follow me on Instagram!
